THE MOUNTAINS ARE CALLING AND I MUST GO: GBOA 2019 in Denver, Colorado

Learn more about what is in the works for the General Board of Assistants Meeting 2019 in Denver, Colorado:

GBOA

"The Colorado Society of Mayflower Descendants is privileged to be hosting the 2019 General Board of Assistants meeting at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Denver Colorado.

With public transportation readily available from the Denver International Airport, (DIA), to downtown, Mayflower descendant attendees will not need to rent a car unless you want to. A train called the A Line will take you from DIA to the Union Station for $9.00 where free downtown shuttles are available that will deposit you close to the Grand Hyatt. Other forms of transportation are also available such as cabs, Uber and Lyft.

Many exciting historical tours and points of interest are close to or in downtown Denver. Our 2019 Committee is diligently planning activities for guests and GBOA attendees.

One planned activity we can announce is our closing dinner to be held at the world renowned The Fort Restaurant. Nestled in the foothills above Denver, The Fort is a replica of Bent’s Fort, an early Colorado fur trade center founded in 1833.

Some of the notable guests at The Fort include President George W. and Laura Bush;  Julia Child; Prince Hiro of Japan; Prince Ogun of Nigeria; James Michener. The Fort has hosted Mayors; Governors and in 1997, President Clinton hosted the official state dinner during the Summit of the Eight World Leaders.

More information will be posted on the GBOA Meeting page when available."
