2020 Commemoration Events and Mayflower Congress

The 400th Anniversary of the founding of Plymouth Colony will be a once-in-a-lifetime, unique experience for Mayflower descendants. With exciting, local commemoration events in the works and the General Society's 42nd Mayflower Congress in September, there will be many opportunities for descendants to participate.

On August 28, 2018, the organizations behind Plymouth’s 400th anniversary commemoration of the Mayflower voyage and the founding of Plymouth Colony announced the year-long schedule of Signature Events for the 2020 Commemoration. The Chair of the Plymouth, Massachusetts 400th Commission, Conventures’ founder Dusty Rhodes, led a press conference at the Massachusetts State House that featured remarks from Governor Charlie Baker and more. Click here to read more.

Whether you are vacationing in America’s Hometown with your family, donning your Pilgrim best at your local Member Society Mayflower Compact Luncheon or attending the historic Mayflower Congress in September, make sure to plan accordingly!
